Base Definitions

Base HF black (Z): Black & White herd book registered animals, which have at least 87.5%  HF- blood and 12.5% or less BF- blood, born in 2005.

Base HF red (R): Red & White herd book registered cows with at least 87.5% HF- blood and 12.5% or less MRI – blood, born in 2005.The animals, which have more than 50% of the genes of the breed variety red and white, red dairy cattle Guernsey, Angler, Brown Swiss, Jersey, Montbeliard, Normandy and dairy Shorthorn can utilise this base.

Base Belgian Blue: Animals which have more than 50% of the genes of the Blue breed or red genes East-Flemish ( West Flanders Meat)

Dual Purpose (Y): Herd book registered cows born 2005 with at least 87.5% MRI- blood and 12.5% or less BF – blood. Animals of all other races, among others: local Dutch and Flemish ( Friesian FH (British Friesian), Groninger Blaarkop ) the other double utility breeds Fleckvieh etc.) other meat breeds such as Limosine etc. can refer to this base.
